I was seven years old when God revealed himself to me. I’m so grateful for the loving adults who taught me the Bible and helped me see God’s grace for the first time. From about age 17, the Lord gave me a genuine love and care for His church and a calling to serve His people in full-time ministry. In His kindness, He led us back to my hometown of Jackson, Missouri, where I’ve had the privilege of serving at Gospel Life Church since 2013. My wife, Julie, and I have 3 awesome teenagers. Apart from the Gospel and my family, you'll most likely hear me talking about hunting or soccer.

joy in investing in the spiritual formation of student-athletes.

Pursuing my identity through career, hobbies, and interests left me asking, what is my purpose in life? All of these “things” could never provide me with a direction my heart desired. While I had been raised in the church with a family who had served sacrificially and led with integrity, I merely saw my faith as something I was “born into” rather than a sheer miracle of God's grace. It was at the age of 34, where I beheld the beauty of Jesus as my Lord and Savior and since then have marveled at the Lord's goodness¹ in my life. His gift of grace through a redeemed identity in Him² along with the persevering work He has accomplished for his church³ has directed my purpose⁴ for all of life. Married to Lauren, and a father of five, we make Jackson our community and our mission field.
